Freelance | January 2027 Start | 12-month opportunity | Initial 4-week paid review

Are you passionate about sales, recruitment or the nursery sector? Would you enjoy building relationships with nursery owners and helping them solve their recruitment challenges?

E Junior Recruitment is looking for an enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated Nursery Business Development Executive to build a new client base in a dedicated UK territory.

You don't need years of recruitment experience. We're more interested in your attitude, communication skills, initiative and determination to generate results.

About E Junior Recruitment

We offer managed recruitment campaigns to businesses seeking an alternative to traditional recruitment agency placement fees. Our founder has extensive talent acquisition experience and previously developed relationships with more than 30 nursery clients through his own recruitment business.

We are now growing our nursery client base and want someone who enjoys new-business sales to lead that development in their chosen region.

The Service You'll Sell

We support nurseries with recruitment activities such as advert writing, job-board advertising, application management, candidate screening, shortlisting, interview coordination and candidate communication. The precise support depends on the agreed campaign, and the nursery makes the final hiring decision.

Clients pay an agreed fee for the managed campaign rather than a traditional percentage-based placement fee. Recruitment outcomes cannot be guaranteed, but we aim to make the process more straightforward and less time-consuming for nursery managers.

Your role is to win clients and maintain relationships. You will NOT be responsible for delivering the recruitment campaigns; these will be managed centrally.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and research private day nurseries in your chosen region
  • Make outbound calls and other professional approaches to nursery owners, directors and managers
  • Discover current and upcoming recruitment needs
  • Present our managed recruitment service and handle questions or objections
  • Follow up prospects and convert opportunities into paid campaigns
  • Build relationships and identify repeat business
  • Keep clear records of activity, opportunities and sales progress
  • Join a short weekly pipeline and performance catch-up

Your Territory

Choose one region: Greater London, South East, South West, Midlands, North East, North West or Yorkshire. You'll focus on developing meaningful relationships in that area rather than covering the whole UK.

Who We're Looking For

We welcome applicants from sales, telesales, business development, recruitment, account management, nursery management and early-years backgrounds. Direct nursery recruitment experience is welcome but NOT essential.

What matters is that you:

  • Enjoy starting conversations with new businesses
  • Are comfortable making proactive outbound sales calls
  • Communicate confidently and build trust
  • Stay motivated through rejection and follow-up
  • Take initiative and work independently
  • Are organised, reliable and commercially minded
  • Are genuinely interested in helping nursery businesses

You'll need your own computer, telephone and suitable working setup. We'll provide service information, commercial guidance and support, without expecting you to follow a rigid script.

Pay, Hours and Opportunity

  • £17.50 per hour for 10 hours per week initially
  • 10% commission on eligible revenue received from clients you win, subject to agreed commission terms
  • Remote working with flexibility over your hours; some weekday availability is essential to reach nursery decision-makers
  • Potential to increase to 15–20 hours per week based on results and business needs
  • Freelance opportunity intended to run for 12 months, subject to contract terms and reviews
  • Planned start: January 2027

The First Four Weeks

Your first four weeks will be paid at the agreed hourly rate. We'll review prospecting, decision-maker conversations, qualified opportunities, follow-ups, pipeline development and paid campaigns. We're not expecting an established client base on day one: we're looking for energy, professionalism and clear evidence that you can develop one.

Why Join?

You'll have the chance to develop a specialist nursery recruitment territory with autonomy and direct support from an experienced recruiter. The opportunity can grow as you bring in clients and help establish a service that nurseries want to use again.

If you enjoy sales, believe in building long-term relationships and are excited about developing something from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply and tell us why you believe you could succeed in this role.
