Reed Education is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teacher with experience in Resistant Materials and Food Technology to join a welcoming secondary school. The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on Resistant Materials and Food Technology. The successful candidate will encourage creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills while supporting students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging D&T lessons in Resistant Materials and Food Technology.
• Assess, monitor, and support student progress.
• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment within workshops and food technology facilities.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge in Resistant Materials and Food Technology.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Passionate about encouraging creativity and practical learning.
• Committed to raising attainment and pupil engagement.
