Mechanical Maintenance Technician Up to £40,000, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4pm, with no weekends as standard. You’ll strip, rebuild and get to the root of mechanical faults on specialist aviation equipment where accuracy really matters. As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will benefit from: A Monday to Friday day shift with a 4pm finish Overtime and site allowance opportunities Ongoing technical training and development Varied, hands-on work on specialist hydraulic and lifting equipment The independence to plan and finish jobs to a high standard As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include: Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on aircraft ground support equipment Stripping, inspecting, refurbishing and rebuilding mechanical assemblies, including jacks and lifting equipment Reverse engineering components and working from engineering drawings and maintenance manuals Diagnosing mechanical faults and replacing bearings, seals, bushes and linkages Supporting hydraulic system maintenance where required Completing accurate service reports and customer documentation As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, your experience will include: A strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair, ideally in engineering or aviation Confident mechanical fault finding and diagnostics The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Hydraulic maintenance experience and LOLER knowledge would be an advantage NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance preferred A full UK driving licence, and the ability to pass airport pass vetting (5-year referenced work or education history) If you’re a Mechanical Maintenance Technician who wants to spend more time solving problems and less time on the road, this is a role where your skills will keep developing.
