Senior Quantity Surveyor - Heathrow Long Term Contract £500 - £650 Day Rate About the Role We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of design-related change across major Heathrow airport programmes. You'll join a multidisciplinary consultancy environment, identifying, pricing, negotiating and agreeing changes that arise from design development, scope evolution and client instructions. You'll be a trusted commercial partner to engineering, planning, project controls and client teams, challenging and supporting design teams to make sure changes are well substantiated, commercially recoverable and in line with contractual entitlements. Key Responsibilities Lead the commercial assessment of design development and change across Heathrow programmes Work with engineering and design teams to identify change and risk at the earliest stage Prepare and manage change submissions, compensation events, instructions and variations Advise on contractual entitlement and maintain compliance with NEC requirements Negotiate with clients, delivery partners and contractors through to final account settlement Challenge scope growth and present cost impacts and option appraisals to support decisions Maintain change registers and governance processesKey Requirements Significant experience as a Senior QS or in change management on major infrastructure programmes Strong experience managing the commercial impact of design development and engineering change Detailed knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly compensation events Ability to interpret engineering designs, scope documents and technical reports Experience in multidisciplinary design, consultancy or complex programme environments Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills Desirable: Heathrow, aviation, rail or major infrastructure experience, MRICS, MCICES or equivalent, and project controls experience If you're a commercially astute Senior QS who is comfortable in technical design environments and understands how design drives cost and programme, we'd love to hear from you.
