A well-established precision engineering company based in Fareham is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join its growing manufacturing team.
Producing high-quality precision-machined components for a range of demanding industries including aerospace, marine, construction, and medical equipment, this is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and respected engineering environment.
The company is keen to speak with both experienced Setter/Operators and those with additional Fanuc programming experience, with higher rates available for programmers.
The Role As a CNC Turner, your responsibilities will include: - Setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls - Programming CNC machines (where applicable) - Working from engineering drawings and specifications - Producing precision components to tight tolerances - Carrying out in-process inspections using measuring equipment - Maintaining high quality and production standards - Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop
Candidate Requirements
CNC Turner - Setter Operator - Previous CNC turning experience - Experience setting and operating CNC lathes - Good knowledge of Fanuc controls - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings - Experience working to tight tolerances - Strong attention to detail and quality standards
CNC Turner - Programmer / Setter Operator In addition to the above: - Proven experience programming CNC lathes using Fanuc controls - Ability to create, edit, and optimise programs - Confidence setting up new jobs and improving cycle times - Strong understanding of tooling and machining processes
