Site Maintenance Technician Newcastle / Northumberland | Circa £45,000 depending on experience | Permanent H9 Talent Solutions is recruiting a Site Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of two sites in the Newcastle/Northumberland area. We’re looking for a practical, adaptable maintenance professional who enjoys varied work and is happy to get involved across a range of tasks. You’ll bring a solid maintenance background, a sensible approach to fault-finding and a willingness to learn. The role * Carry out planned maintenance, reactive repairs and general site upkeep. * Investigate faults and complete repairs within your skills and training. * Support maintenance across building services, fixtures, fittings and associated equipment. * Assist with installation, replacement and improvement works. * Work alongside colleagues and specialist contractors where required. * Complete maintenance records and follow site health and safety procedures. * Cover both sites according to operational requirements. What we’re looking for * Experience in site maintenance, facilities maintenance, building services or a similar hands-on role. * Broad practical skills and confidence using tools to investigate and resolve problems. * A flexible attitude and willingness to tackle a varied workload. * The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and communicate clearly. * A full UK driving licence to travel between sites. Plumbing, ventilation or air conditioning experience would be useful, as would an F-Gas qualification, but none is essential. The priority is a capable all-round maintenance technician who takes ownership and is keen to develop. Previous experience working on military or other controlled-access sites would also be advantageous.
