People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join our well-established client based in Wigan.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £14.41 per hour, ongoing work, weekly pay, rotating weekday shifts, overtime availability and immediate starts.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an FLT Counterbalance Driver, Forklift Truck Driver, FLT Operator or Forklift Truck Operative.

Shifts

• Rotating weekly shifts
• Morning Shift – Monday to Thursday: 06:00–14:00
• Morning Shift – Friday: 06:00–12:00
• Afternoon Shift – Monday to Thursday: 14:00–22:00
• Afternoon Shift – Friday: 12:00–18:00

Rates of Pay

• £14.41 per hour
• Overtime available – rate to be confirmed

Day-to-Day Duties

As an FLT Counterbalance Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Supporting production duties when required
• Receiving goods into the warehouse and stowing pallets
• Checking quantities and visually inspecting incoming and outgoing goods
• Unpacking and storing incoming deliveries
• Organising stock ready for dispatch
• Moving goods around the warehouse as required
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Essential Skills

To be successful as an FLT Counterbalance Driver, you will need:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (RTITB or ITSSAR accredited)
• Proven experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
• Good communication and multitasking skills
• Strong spatial awareness
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Good organisational skills
• Reliable and self-motivated attitude
• Flexibility to support production and warehouse duties
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable Experience

• Previous warehouse experience
• Previous experience supporting production operations

Training Provided

• Full training provided
• FLT assessment required before starting
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
