Multi Skilled Engineer

Corby | £55,000

Panama Shift Pattern (Days only 6am-6pm) | No Sponsorship

Not every engineering team is the same.

Some sites are constantly firefighting, running short on resource and asking engineers to patch the same problems week after week.

This isn't one of those sites.

You'll be joining a business that's invested heavily in its operation, produces millions of products every week, and has built a reputation as one of the UK's leading names in food manufacturing. With a varied production environment, modern equipment and a genuinely supportive engineering team, it's the kind of place where engineers stay, develop and build long-term careers. The company manufactures products enjoyed by consumers across the UK and operates as one of Britain's largest snack food producers.

Most importantly, you'll be joining a small team of experienced engineers who look out for each other, share knowledge and take pride in keeping the factory running at its best.

What's in it for you?

  • Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience
  • Panama days shift pattern (6am-6pm) with every other weekend off
  • Overtime available at enhanced rates
  • Join a stable, experienced engineering team with low turnover
  • Work on a wide range of automated manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Well-invested manufacturing site
  • Secure, growing food manufacturing business
  • Opportunity to get involved in continuous improvement and reliability projects
  • Pension and additional company benefits

What you'll need

  • NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent
  • Previous maintenance engineering experience within food manufacturing or manufacturing environments
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Experience carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Good understanding of health and safety standards

What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)

  • Responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns across the site
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability
  • Working on a variety of production, processing and packaging machinery
  • Supporting production teams to minimise downtime and improve performance
  • Recording maintenance activities through the site maintenance system
  • Identifying recurring faults and implementing long-term solutions
  • Contributing to improvement projects across the factory
  • Playing a key role in maintaining high standards of safety, quality and efficiency

Where you'll be doing it

You'll be joining a successful food manufacturing business in Corby that's been producing household-name products for decades and continues to invest in its people, equipment and facilities. The business is one of the UK's largest British-owned snack manufacturers, producing millions of packs every day across multiple UK sites.

Engineering is highly valued here. You'll be given autonomy, trusted to do your job properly and supported by a team that genuinely works together. If you're looking for a role where you'll be more than just another number on a shift rota, this could be exactly what you're after.
