Catering Assistant

As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and serving of meals, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring all food handling meets safety regulations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys interacting with people.

Ideal Candidate:

• Possess a Level 2 Food and Hygiene Qualification.
• Have previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment (preferred).
• Are proactive, with a strong understanding of food safety practices.
• Can start immediately, ensuring a smooth and efficient service within our school cafeteria.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Comply with all food safety regulations.
• Setup and breakdown of the cafeteria.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Level 2 Food and Hygiene Qualification.
• Experience in a catering or kitchen environment (preferred).
• Strong understanding of food safety.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service.
