CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator Ferndown, Dorset Day Shift | Early Finish Every Friday £42,000 Per Annum Actio Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering company based in Ferndown for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator to join their growing manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming offline using PowerMill, setting and operating CNC milling machines equipped with Heidenhain controls, and ensuring components are produced to the highest standards. The Role * Programming CNC milling machines using PowerMill * Setting and operating CNC milling machinery with Heidenhain controls * Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances * Editing and optimising machining programs where required * Selecting tools, fixtures and machining strategies * Conducting in-process inspections using a range of measuring equipment * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings * Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping * Working closely with the production and engineering teams to meet delivery schedules The Ideal Candidate * Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator * Strong offline programming experience using PowerMill or similar software * Experience operating and setting machines with Heidenhain controls * Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings * Confident working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards * Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail * Experience within precision engineering, aerospace, defence, medical or similar sectors would be advantageous What's On Offer * Salary of £42,000 per annum * Permanent day shift position * Early finish every Friday If you are an experienced CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator with PowerMill or similar programming experience and knowledge of Heidenhain controls, we'd like to hear from you.
