Live-In Care Assistant – Romanian Speaking Preferred

We are currently recruiting for a compassionate, reliable and experienced Live-In Care Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support to a wheelchair-dependent client.

The ideal candidate will be Romanian speaking, although applicants who speak Polish or Bulgarian will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing personalised one-to-one care and support within the client's home.
• Assisting with mobility, transfers and hoisting.
• Supporting with personal care, hygiene and daily living activities.
• Assisting with medication and general care needs.
• Preparing basic meals and supporting nutritional needs.
• Promoting the client's independence, dignity and wellbeing.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Care Assistant or Support Worker.
• Experience supporting wheelchair-dependent clients.
• Confident and competent in using hoists and moving and handling equipment.
• Romanian language skills preferred; Polish or Bulgarian speakers also considered.
• Minimum height of 168cm, specified in relation to the client's mobility and hoisting requirements.
• A caring, patient and professional approach.
• Enhanced DBS required.
