- Support timely referral and liaison with multidisciplinary foot care teams, vascular services and other relevant healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records in accordance with NHS policies, professional standards and information governance requirements.
- Contribute to clinical audits, service improvement initiatives and the implementation of evidence-based guidelines.
- Provide clinical advice, education and support to patients, carers and colleagues.
- Support the development of junior staff and students through clinical supervision, mentoring and knowledge sharing, as appropriate.
- Work autonomously within your clinical competence, recognising when senior advice or onward referral is required.

- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Relevant post-registration experience in podiatry, including the assessment and management of high-risk patients.
- Demonstrable knowledge of diabetic foot assessment, ulcer prevention and management, vascular assessment and neuropathic foot complications.
- Ability to recognise red flags and escalate clinical concerns promptly.
- Excellent communication, organisational and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage a varied clinical caseload.
- Commitment to continuing professional development, clinical governance and evidence-based practice.
Desirable Requirements - Experience working within an NHS community or acute podiatry service.
- Experience contributing to a multidisciplinary diabetic foot or high-risk foot clinic.
- Relevant postgraduate training or professional development in high-risk foot care, wound management or diabetes-related foot disease.
- Experience in clinical audit, service development, supervision or mentoring.
What We Offer - The opportunity to develop your specialist skills within an established NHS podiatry service.
- Support for continuing professional development and clinical supervision.
- Collaborative working with a multidisciplinary team.
- The opportunity to make a meaningful difference to patient safety, mobility and quality of life.
- Access to NHS employment benefits, where applicable to the appointment.
About You You will be a confident and compassionate podiatrist who can manage complex clinical presentations, prioritise patients according to clinical need and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. You will demonstrate sound clinical judgement, a commitment to safeguarding and patient-centred care, and an understanding of the importance of early intervention in preventing avoidable foot complications and amputations.
