We're looking for a confident and resilient Behaviour Support TA to work across mainstream primary schools in the Gillingham and Medway area.

This role would suit someone who has experience supporting children with additional needs and can remain calm, patient and consistent when faced with challenging behaviour. You'll be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as working with small groups of children with SEN, helping them engage with learning and manage their emotions and behaviour throughout the school day.

What the role involves:

  • Providing 1:1 support for pupils who need additional behavioural and emotional support.

  • Leading or supporting small-group sessions for children with SEN.

  • Helping pupils develop positive behaviour, social skills and emotional regulation.

  • Managing challenging situations calmly and using appropriate de-escalation strategies.

  • Supporting pupils to access classroom learning and participate in school life.

  • Working closely with teachers and other school staff to maintain consistent support.

  • Being flexible and happy to work across KS1 and/or KS2.

What we're looking for:

  • Confidence managing difficult situations while maintaining a calm and professional approach.

  • Patience, resilience and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

  • A valid DBS certificate or willingness to apply for a new one.

  • A driver is preferred, as you may need to travel between schools in the Gillingham and Medway area.

The opportunity:

  • Full-time work within mainstream primary school settings.

  • A rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to children's confidence, behaviour and learning.
