We are recruiting for a Commissioning Officer - Adult Social Care Team to support transformation projects across adult social care, with a focus on day services, supported accommodation, and related provision for working-age adults. This Commissioning Officer - Adult Social Care Team opportunity would suit someone with experience in commissioning, contract management, and service development who can help deliver high-quality, sustainable services that achieve strong outcomes and value for money.

• Support the delivery of transformation projects across day services, supported accommodation, and other adult social care services.
• Monitor provider performance against KPIs, quality standards, contractual obligations, and statutory requirements.
• Help develop and implement service arrangements for supported accommodation projects, including changes to existing day service provision.
• Work closely with operational teams, finance colleagues, project leads, and external providers to ensure services meet assessed needs and agreed outcomes.
• Coordinate meetings with families, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring accurate records of actions, decisions, and next steps are maintained.
• Contribute to service redesign, market shaping, and continuous improvement activity to strengthen quality and long-term sustainability.
• Support governance processes through audits, compliance checks, performance reviews, and the preparation of reports and presentations.
• Use data, benchmarking, and research to support recommendations, business cases, and evidence-based decision-making.
• The Commissioning Officer - Adult Social Care Team will also support day-to-day contract management, including financial and performance monitoring.

• Experience in commissioning and/or contract management within social care, ideally across supported accommodation or day services.
• Understanding of adult social care legislation, safeguarding requirements, and relevant working practices.
• Experience of working with people with lived experience, families, and carers to support person-centred planning.
• Strong project support or project management skills, ideally within a local authority, public sector, or social care setting.
• Good report writing skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to present information clearly to different audiences.
• Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills and the ability to learn bespoke systems.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and partner organisations.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and respond flexibly under pressure while remaining a collaborative team member.
• GCSEs at grade A-C / Level 4 or equivalent are required; relevant commissioning or contract management qualifications would be desirable.
