Private Client Solicitor – 1+ PQE – Nottinghamshire

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Solicitor to join a well-established and growing Nottinghamshire law firm.

This is a particularly good opportunity for a Solicitor who wants a genuinely broad, client-facing Private Client role where they can continue learning, developing and practising every element of their craft rather than becoming pigeonholed into one particular area.

The firm is looking for a Private Client Solicitor with at least 1 year’s PQE to join its established team.

The role

You will manage a broad and varied Private Client caseload, including:

• Wills, from straightforward matters through to more complex planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Trusts
• Inheritance Tax and estate planning
• General elderly client matters

This is very much a client-facing position. You will have the opportunity to build your own relationships with clients, advise them directly and support individuals and families through what can often be important and sensitive periods in their lives.

The breadth of the caseload makes this an excellent environment for somebody who wants to become a genuinely well-rounded Private Client Solicitor.

Rather than being restricted to one narrow area of Private Client work, you will have the opportunity to continue learning and practising across the discipline – developing your technical knowledge, client-handling skills and confidence across a wide variety of matters.

The firm has been established for a number of decades and has several offices across Nottinghamshire, with a strong local client base and an excellent reputation for providing a personal and approachable service.

You will be joining a smaller, established practice where Private Client lawyers have direct relationships with their clients and the opportunity to develop broad experience, rather than becoming one of many within a large, highly segmented department.

The ideal candidate

The firm is looking for a qualified Solicitor with:

• A minimum of 1 year’s PQE in Private Client
• Experience across a range of Private Client matters
• A genuine desire to maintain and develop a broad Private Client practice
• Strong communication and client-care skills
• Confidence dealing directly with clients
• The ability to manage their own caseload
• A personable and approachable manner
