Personal Lines Account Handler

An established, independent insurance brokerage based in the Bolton area is looking to appoint a Personal Lines Account Handler to join their close-knit and growing team. This is a varied, fast-paced opportunity where you will manage your own portfolio of clients, providing tailored insurance solutions across home, motor and travel policies, while building strong, long-term relationships.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of personal lines clients, delivering a high standard of service throughout the policy lifecycle.
  • Handle new business enquiries, renewals, and mid-term adjustments efficiently and accurately.
  • Provide advice and quotations across a range of personal lines products, ensuring clients understand their cover.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and insurers.
  • Ensure all documentation and internal systems are kept accurate and up to date.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell additional insurance products where appropriate.
  • Work in line with FCA regulations and internal procedures at all times.


Requirements

  • Proven experience working within a personal lines insurance environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and explain technical information clearly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering a high level of service.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within the role.
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.

  • Salary of £28,000 – £32,000 depending on experience.
