School Support Staff - Derby (DE21) - ASAP Start
Pay: £110 - £120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Temporary / Long-term
Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday

We are currently recruiting for dedicated, reliable, and caring School Support Staff to join a supportive school in the Derby (DE21) area for an immediate start.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people in education and contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment.

Role Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils across the school with a range of needs
• Assisting teaching staff with classroom learning and activities
• Providing 1:1 and small group support where required
• Supporting behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
• Helping to implement support plans and school strategies
• Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the classroom and school

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable)
• Transferable skills from care, support work, youth work, or similar roles welcome
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patient, calm, and adaptable approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

DBS Requirement:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child & Adult) preferred
• OR willingness to obtain a new Child & Adult DBS before starting
