We are recruiting on behalf of a leading machine tool and advanced manufacturing business seeking an experienced Service Engineer to support the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of high-performance 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres across the UK and, where required, internationally.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable engineer with strong CNC knowledge to join a growing organisation working with cutting-edge machining technology across aerospace, automotive, medical, precision engineering, and manufacturing environments.

The Role

  • Install, commission, and service 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres at customer sites
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown support on CNC machine tools
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software faults efficiently
  • Support machine alignments, calibrations, spindle checks, and geometric accuracy testing
  • Provide technical support and training to customers when required
  • Complete detailed service reports and documentation following each visit
  • Work closely with internal technical support and engineering teams
  • Support machine upgrades, retrofits, and automation integration projects
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards and customer expectations
  • Travel throughout the UK and internationally as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working as a CNC Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or similar
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining centres, particularly 3-axis and 5-axis machines
  • Ability to fault-find across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Passport and willingness to travel internationally
