Butler Rose is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a prestigious, internationally recognised manufacturer based in Plymouth, who are looking to appoint a Commercial Analyst / Business Development Executive to support their global commercial operation.
This is a highly analytical, systems-focused commercial role, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key part in shaping commercial strategy through insight, data, and technology.
The Role
Reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer, you will support the wider Commercial, Sales and Finance teams by delivering accurate commercial analysis, managing Salesforce CRM and PRM systems, and providing data-driven insight to improve distributor performance and global market share.
A core focus of the role will be the development, implementation and ongoing management of a Partner Relationship Management (PRM) system within Salesforce, supporting a global distributor network.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the PRM system within Salesforce
- Maintain and optimise CRM data accuracy and integrity across global markets
- Design and manage dashboards, reports and workflows to track distributor performance, enquiries and pipelines
- Act as the main Salesforce contact within the Commercial team, liaising with IT, Sales and external partners
- Produce monthly commercial and financial performance reports for senior management
- Analyse sales trends, pricing, KPIs and market data to identify opportunities for growth
- Support forecasting, target setting and performance evaluation across distributor and sales regions
- Provide ad-hoc commercial analysis to support pricing, product development and business planning
- Support distributor reviews, board reporting and commercial presentations
- Work closely with regional sales and commercial leadership to assess performance against strategy
About You
This role will suit a commercially minded analyst who enjoys working with data, systems and senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, international environment.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in a commercial analysis, business development or data-driven commercial role
- Advanced Salesforce CRM experience, including reporting, dashboards and workflows
- Experience with or exposure to PRM systems (highly desirable)
- Strong analytical capability across sales, pricing and financial data
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivots, formulas and data modelling
- Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau (desirable)
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills, with confidence presenting insight to senior stakeholders
- A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach
