Management Accountant - King's Lynn

Salary circa £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience

I am working with a well established and growing business to recruit a Management Accountant to join their finance team.

Reporting directly to the Business Director, this is a commercially focused role that will provide financial insight and analysis to support business decision making. The position offers a broad range of responsibilities across management accounts, reporting, cashflow and financial controls within a collaborative environment.

The role

You will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts and KPI reporting, while supporting the wider business with financial analysis and operational insight.

Key responsibilities include

• Production of monthly management accounts
• Posting journals and maintaining the fixed asset register
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Overseeing payroll and monthly salary payments
• Monitoring daily cashflow forecasts
• Managing weekly supplier and subcontractor payment runs
• Supporting quarterly VAT returns
• Producing monthly management reporting and WIP analysis
• Supporting the statutory audit process
• Providing ad hoc analysis and reporting as required

About you

• Fully qualified or actively studying towards an accounting qualification
• Strong analytical and Excel skills
• Confident communicating with stakeholders across the business
• Experience within a similar management accounting role
• Previous construction sector experience would be advantageous but not essential
