Working closely with the commercial and operational teams, you will act as a critical link between finance and the wider business, ensuring financial data is understood and leveraged effectively.

Description

Commercial Accountant responsibilities include;

• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and board reporting packs
• Partner with the commercial team to allocate project costs and monitor performance
• Support and report on Cost Value Reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analysis to inform business decisions
• Maintain and update weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts
• Collaborate with departments across the business using centralised financial data
• Provide financial insight and constructive challenge to senior stakeholders
• Ensure all reporting deadlines are consistently met

Profile

The successful Commercial Accountant should have:

• Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Commercial Accountant role
• Strong commercial awareness alongside core financial reporting expertise
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet strict monthly deadlines
• Ability to build strong working relationships across departments

Desirable:

• Experience within manufacturing or a project-based environment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365
