Yard Operative (Nights)

£15.07 per hour

Monday to Thursday – 4:00PM to 4:00AM

We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join a busy operation based in Barnsley

on a permanent night shift.

Reporting to the Shift Manager / Yard Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the movement and loading of steel products within the yard environment, ensuring operations run safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading steel products onto trucks
• Operating FLT equipment within the yard
• Supporting general yard operations
• Assisting with stock movement and organisation
• Working safely within a fast-paced industrial environment

Requirements:

• Previous FLT experience is essential (licence not required)
• Overhead Crane experience is essential
• Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or steel environment would be advantageous
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to work nights
