SEND Annual Reviews Officer

We’re working with a Midlands-based Local Authority who are seeking a dedicated SEND Annual Reviews Officer to join them ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity to support children and young people with SEND, and play a vital role in shaping inclusive education outcomes.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis with two days in the office for the first 4 weeks, before moving onto a fully remote basis.


In this role, you will:

  • Take ownership of a high-volume EHCP caseload, with a particular focus on delivering high-quality Annual Reviews
  • Oversee the end-to-end review process, bringing together input from schools, families, and professionals to inform decision-making
  • Produce, update, and refine EHCP documentation that clearly reflects individual needs and review outcomes
  • Ensure SEND procedures are delivered in line with statutory guidelines, including the Children and Families Act (2014) and SEND Code of Practice (2015)
  • Build trusted relationships with parents, carers, and young people, providing clear, responsive, and compassionate support
  • Collaborate proactively with schools, providers, and partner agencies to secure the right support and best possible outcomes


Essential Requirements:

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Strong experience within a local authority SEND setting
  • Experience with Capita One, SharePoint, Teams, and the Microsoft packages
  • In-depth knowledge of EHCP processes, SEND legislation, and annual reviews
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage complex caseloads and statutory processes
  • Advanced English communication skills for sensitive stakeholder interactions
