Parts/Spares Engineer Required For A Proven Energy Giant!
Located: Lincoln (Hybrid)
Rate: £23ph PAYE
Duration: 6 Months+

Are you looking for a hands-on engineering role where you can apply your technical understanding without being tied to a design-focused position? We're recruiting for an Parts/Spares Engineer to support a busy engineering team on a contract basis.

This role is ideal for someone with experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment who enjoys interpreting technical information and ensuring the right parts are identified and ordered.

What you'll be doing:

As a Spares Engineer, your focus will be on identifying and managing spare parts requirements. This includes:

• Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and build sheets to identify required components
• Matching requirements to the correct spare part numbers and inputting them into SAP
• Working with engineering and operational teams to understand customer requirements
• Supporting the accurate management of spare parts data and inventory records
• Helping ensure the correct parts are sourced and available when needed

This is a detail-focused role that requires strong interpretation skills and a good understanding of engineering components and environments.

What we're looking for:

We are open to a range of backgrounds, but you must have experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment and be comfortable working with technical information.

You may have come from:

• A production or manufacturing environment
• A procurement or supply chain role within engineering
• A technical data or document control position
• A semi-skilled engineering or workshop-based role
• A site or project-based engineering environment

You will need:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or specifications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling technical data
• Experience using systems such as SAP or similar (or the ability to pick this up quickly)
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with different teams

This is not a design engineering role. We are not looking for candidates focused on product design or development.
