Description

The key responsibilities for the Receptionist role are:

  • Welcome and assist visitors, ensuring a professional and friendly first impression.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain and update records, databases, and filing systems.
  • Manage and distribute incoming and outgoing post and correspondence.
  • Schedule appointments and manage meeting room bookings.
  • Provide general administrative support to the secretarial and business support team.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Profile

A successful Receptionist should have:

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills to handle various administrative tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with visitors and staff.
  • Proficiency in basic office software, including word processing and email tools.
  • A professional and approachable manner, ensuring positive interactions with all stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the public sector is desirable but not essential.

Job Offer

  • An hourly rate between £12.00 and £14.00, depending on experience.
