Finance Director
York | Multi-site distribution business | £120,000-£140,000 + package

This is a number one Finance role for a sizeable multi-site distribution business with a strong operational footprint across the UK.

The business is well established, commercially active and at a stage where the MD wants a Finance Director who can be a genuine sounding board across operations, growth, margin and performance - not just someone focused on reporting deadlines.

You'll lead finance whilst working closely with the MD and senior leadership team on the wider direction of the business.

What the role will involve:

• Full responsibility for the finance function across a multi-site operation
• Acting as a commercial partner to the MD and wider leadership team
• Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and cashflow
• Improving reporting, MI and visibility across the business
• Supporting operational decision-making around margin, performance and cost control
• Leading and developing the finance team
• Working closely with operational leaders across multiple locations
• Supporting future growth initiatives and process improvement

What they're looking for:

• Experienced Finance Director / Head of Finance operating as a number one
• Background within distribution, logistics, wholesale, manufacturing or another operationally led environment
• Strong commercial awareness alongside technical credibility
• Comfortable working closely with non-finance stakeholders
• Able to challenge constructively and influence decisions
• Experience managing finance within a multi-site business would be useful
