Legal Receptionist Whitefield, Bury Hours - Monday to Friday 0900-1715 Salary - £Competitive DOE
A respected and busy legal practice based in the Whitefield/Bury area is looking for a professional, friendly, and well-organised Receptionist to join their team. This is a key front-of-house position where you will be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and professional service at all times.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a client-facing environment, has strong communication skills, and takes pride in delivering excellent service within a structured office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Answering incoming calls as part of a team, directing calls and taking accurate messages
Greeting clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
Checking, scanning, and verifying client identification documents
Handling general enquiries face-to-face and over the telephone efficiently and professionally
Processing card payments securely (in person and over the phone)
Managing incoming and outgoing post
Maintaining electronic diaries and coordinating meeting room bookings
Preparing daily banking
Ordering stationery and office supplies
Ensuring the reception area is always presentable and welcoming
Adhering to GDPR regulations at all times
Supporting wider administrative duties, including scanning, file handling, and managing case records on internal systems
Assisting with archiving and retrieval of client files when required
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role is essential
Legal sector experience is beneficial but not required
Minimum GCSE level education (Grade 4–9 / A–C or equivalent)
Professional, approachable, and confident manner
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Comfortable dealing with clients in person and over the phone
Good basic IT skills with ability to learn new systems
Highly organised with a positive, can-do attitude
