We’re hiring for a Senior Associate to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice’s outsourcing team in Guildford. This is a newly created role driven by growth, offering the chance to work closely with a diverse client base while playing a key part in delivery, review, and team development.

You’ll be joining a collaborative environment with a strong focus on quality, client relationships, and continuous improvement—ideal for someone who enjoys both technical work and mentoring junior team members.

WISH LIST

• Experience preparing and reviewing management accounts and statutory financial statements within practice
• Confident working with cloud accounting tools (Xero essential) and Excel
• Comfortable reviewing work and supporting junior team members

THE ROLE

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients
• Produce statutory financial statements under FRS105 and FRS102 (including consolidated accounts)
• Review bookkeeping and financial data prepared by clients or junior staff
• Support the preparation of VAT returns and review submissions
• Assist with onboarding new clients, including compliance processes
• Provide support and guidance on accounting systems and software
• Handle day-to-day client queries and build strong working relationships
• Train, support, and review the work of junior team members
• Delegate work effectively and ensure quality output across the team
• Contribute to fee proposals and new business opportunities
• Support cashflow forecasting and budgeting work for clients
• Identify and suggest improvements to processes and ways of working

YOUR PROFILE

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA) or active studier
• Effective communicator – written & verbal
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel
• Strong experience within an accountancy practice environment
• Confident using Xero and comfortable with cloud-based systems
