Trainee Finance Assistant

Our client, a well-established and expanding business in the Warrington area, is seeking a Trainee Finance Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their finance career to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing purchase invoices and assisting with supplier payments
• Supporting bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with customer queries and issuing statements
• Supporting credit control, including chasing overdue payments
• Assisting with month-end processes and reconciliations
• Maintaining supplier and customer account data
• Using Excel and internal systems to support reporting and finance operations

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Recent Finance/Accounting education (AAT/degree) or 6–12 months finance experience
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
