An independent London-based music agency representing a diverse roster of internationally recognised artists is seeking an experienced and highly organised Finance Manager to join its growing team on a part-time basis.

Working across live events, touring, and artist management operations, the company partners with artists and promoters worldwide and is committed to fostering a culture of integrity, inclusivity, collaboration, and sustainability.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced finance professional seeking flexibility, with the position structured across 4 days per week with reduced working hours across a standard Monday–Friday working week.

The Role

Reporting directly to senior leadership and working closely with external accountants, the Finance Manager will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The role will act as the primary internal finance contact, managing company accounting processes, client financial administration, and broader finance responsibilities across the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional with experience in music, entertainment, media, or other fast-paced creative industries.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing company accounts using Xero
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Processing invoices, payments, and income reconciliation
  • Supporting agents and teams with event and client settlements
  • Preparing artist/client statements and reconciling balances
  • Managing multi-currency banking and client accounts
  • Raising and processing sales invoices
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Maintaining accurate nominal ledger coding
  • Assisting with year-end accounting processes and external accountants
  • Monitoring company credit cards and expense processes
  • Supporting the implementation and improvement of financial systems and procedures
  • Training or overseeing junior team members on finance-related processes where required
  • Supporting directors and wider teams with ad hoc finance and operational tasks
About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience managing finance operations within a small-to-medium sized organisation
  • Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and accounting principles
  • Understanding of UK and international withholding tax
  • Experience handling multi-currency transactions and reconciliations
  • High proficiency with accounting software, particularly Xero
  • Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Professional discretion when handling confidential information
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Clear and confident communication skills
