Salary: £45,000 per annum

Overtime: Available and paid at time and a half

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off / 4 on and 4 nights

Location: Central London


The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Estates Electrical Technician to join a well-established estates and engineering team supporting a complex, safety-critical environment within a prestigious Private Hospital in London.

You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability and statutory compliance of critical electrical infrastructure across a multi-building estate.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical plant and systems
  • Diagnose and rectify faults through reactive maintenance
  • Maintain compliance with relevant statutory regulations and electrical standards
  • Operate and monitor Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Maintain and fault-find on LV electrical systems, switchgear, distribution boards and control panels
  • Respond to electrical breakdowns and emergency situations, acting as a first responder when required (training provided)
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, fabric and estates colleagues to support uninterrupted service delivery


Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in electrical building services or facilities maintenance
  • Qualifications at HNC/HND / Level 4 or 5 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • LV electrical systems and power distribution
  • Lighting systems and emergency lighting
  • BMS controls and fault finding
  • Electrical testing and inspection
  • Understanding of safe systems of work and health & safety legislation
  • Familiarity with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a demand-led environment
