A well-established commercial insurance brokerage is looking to appoint a Senior Commercial Account Handler to support two Senior Account Executives within a high-performing team. This is a key hire, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a varied commercial portfolio and play a central role in delivering high-quality client service.


You’ll be joining a collaborative business and a tight knit team of professionals based in their Macclesfield branch. The role involves handling a broad mix of commercial risks, with premiums typically up to £150k, and requires someone confident working independently and at pace.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support two Senior Account Executives across their commercial portfolios.
  • Manage renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business.
  • Act as a key client contact, delivering responsive day-to-day service.
  • Negotiate with insurers to secure competitive terms.
  • Process documentation accurately using Acturis.
  • Ensure FCA and internal compliance standards are met.


What we are looking for:

  • Strong experience as a Commercial Account Handler within a brokerage.
  • Confident managing a varied commercial book.
  • Acturis experience is essential.
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment.
