IT Support Engineer

A well-established law firm in Greenwich is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join its growing IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and customer-focused IT professional to support a busy legal environment, providing high-quality technical support across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-line IT support to users across the firm, both remotely and on-site
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and system issues in a timely manner
• Set up and maintain laptops, desktops, phones and peripherals
• Support Microsoft 365, Windows environments and standard business applications
• Assist with user account administration, onboarding and offboarding processes
• Support meeting room and conferencing technology, including AV equipment
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset registers and support logs
• Liaise with third-party IT providers and suppliers to resolve technical issues
• Assist with system upgrades, technology rollouts and continuous service improvements
• Support IT security initiatives, patching and compliance requirements

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in an IT support or service desk role
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365
• Good understanding of networking, hardware and troubleshooting principles
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Professional, proactive and customer-focused approach

Desirable

• Experience within a legal or professional services environment
• Exposure to ITIL or structured IT service management processes
• Knowledge of Cyber Essentials or IT security best practices
