A highly respected full-service Scottish legal firm is expanding its presence in Glasgow and is seeking an ambitious Private Client Associate. This career-defining opportunity involves leading, building, and growing a new Private Client function with a clear pathway to partnership within 12–18 months.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Take the lead in building the Private Client service offering in Glasgow, supported by significant investment and a strategic growth plan.
  • Shape and grow the Private Client practice at an early and exciting stage.
  • Drive and deliver an ambitious business plan with scope to develop new workstreams.
  • Leverage opportunities within a dynamic market, including consolidation and M&A activity in the Private Client sector.
  • Collaborate with talented colleagues across the firm’s fastest-growing office, benefiting from strong cross-departmental referrals.
  • Play a key role in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a future team—creating a business unit that reflects your leadership and vision.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Currently at Associate level within Private Client.
  • Commercially astute, ambitious, and energised by the prospect of building a new offering.
  • Skilled across the full spectrum of Private Client work.
  • Motivated by responsibility, leadership, and long-term strategic influence.
  • Keen to develop a thriving team and establish a significant presence in the Glasgow market.
