A standout opportunity for an experienced paraplanner

This is a superb role for a paraplanner who wants to work in a high-quality, boutique, chartered environment where technical excellence is genuinely valued. You’ll join a respected firm based on Newcastle’s Quayside, known for its sophisticated client base, collaborative culture and commitment to delivering truly bespoke financial planning.

If you enjoy complex work, autonomy, and being close to the advice process, this is the kind of role that elevates your career.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work closely with advisers and senior paraplanners on a wide range of technical planning areas. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting in-depth technical research across pensions, investments, tax planning and estate planning
  • Preparing high-quality, bespoke suitability reports for HNW and UHNW clients
  • Completing detailed cashflow modelling and scenario analysis
  • Supporting advisers with client meeting preparation, including data analysis and recommendation modelling
  • Attending client meetings (if you want to) to provide technical support and insight
  • Reviewing existing client arrangements and identifying planning opportunities
  • Ensuring all advice is compliant, well-documented and audit-ready
  • Contributing to process improvements, template development and technical best practice

This is not a “tick-box” paraplanning role — you’ll be involved in meaningful, complex planning that genuinely shapes client outcomes.

Progression & long-term development

The firm offers a clear, structured pathway to Senior Paraplanner, with opportunities to:

  • Work directly with Chartered Advisers
  • Take on more complex technical cases (IHT, trusts, business owners, multi-asset strategies)
  • Mentor junior paraplanners and trainees
  • Lead on technical projects and process improvements
  • Progress towards Chartered status with full support

If you want to become a highly respected technical specialist, this firm will back you all the way.

What they’re looking for
  • Strong experience in a paraplanning role within wealth management
  • Confident producing detailed, bespoke suitability reports
  • Solid understanding of pensions, investments, tax planning and cashflow modelling
  • High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
  • Someone proactive, analytical and comfortable working with complex cases
  • Ideally working towards Diploma/Chartered status (or already Level 4 qualified)

This role suits someone who enjoys depth, technical challenge and being part of a premium advice process.

What you’ll get
  • £38,000–£45,000 depending on experience and qualifications
  • Hybrid working with 2–3 days from home
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Full exam support (Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Chartered)
  • Modern Quayside office with stunning views and a collaborative team
  • Regular CPD, technical workshops and development sessions
  • A boutique environment where paraplanners are genuinely valued
