• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND
• Supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH, communication and interaction needs, and additional learning needs
• Assisting with the delivery of differentiated lessons planned by the teacher
• Supporting pupils within the resource base and mainstream classrooms where appropriate
• Assisting with emotional regulation, behaviour support, and social skills development
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive engagement with learning
• Supporting transitions between lessons and learning environments
• Monitoring and feeding back on pupil progress to teachers and SEN staff
• Assisting with personal care where required (training provided if necessary)
• Supporting pupils in line with their EHCP targets

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people (SEND experience desirable)
• A calm, patient, and flexible approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine commitment to inclusive education
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential
