Description

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling and analysing financial data.
• Process accruals, prepayments, and journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
• Provide variance analysis and commentary to support decision-making.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects as required.

Profile

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

• A background in accounting or finance, with relevant qualifications or certifications.
• Experience in assisting with management accounts and financial reporting.
• AAT-qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA is a bonus.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• The ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices within the business services industry.
