EYFS Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
Location: Blackburn (BB1)

Contract: Temporary 
Hours: Full Time

A friendly and nurturing primary school in the BB1 area of Blackburn is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team after the May half term, continuing through to the end of the summer term.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive Early Years setting where children are encouraged to explore, develop and thrive in a stimulating learning environment.

The Role:
  • Support teaching and learning within the EYFS classroom

  • Work with small groups and individual pupils

  • Assist with phonics, early maths and communication & language development

  • Support continuous provision and child-led learning

  • Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment

  • Observe and contribute to assessments of pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have experience working within an EYFS setting

  • Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

  • Have a strong understanding of the Early Years Framework

  • Be nurturing, patient and enthusiastic

  • Work effectively as part of a team

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
