We’re now seeking a dynamic Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and drive performance across the site.

The Role

As Production Manager, you will take full ownership of day-to-day production activities, ensuring output, quality, and delivery targets are consistently achieved. You’ll lead a skilled team, optimise processes, and work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Planning to ensure seamless, efficient operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role where your decisions will directly influence performance, customer satisfaction, and the future success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage production teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures
  • Drive operational efficiency through effective planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimisation
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives, including lean methodologies and waste reduction
  • Monitor production performance and provide clear reporting to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to resolve issues and support robust process control
  • Champion a positive, accountable, and safety-focused culture across the shop floor
  • Support training, development, and performance management of production staff

About You

We’re looking for a confident, proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment. You will ideally bring:

  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or Senior Supervisor in aerospace, precision engineering, or similar manufacturing. Surface treatments experience would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of AS9100, NADCAP, or other regulated industry standards
  • Experience of implementing process improvements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive operational improvements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a practical, solutions-driven mindset
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Experience in lean manufacturing / Lean Six Sigma and 5S
