Purchase Ledger Assistant (Temporary)

Location: Lancaster (office-based)
Hours: 30 hours per week (flexible across 4 or 5 days)
Pay: From £13.45 per hour (DOE)
Duration: Approx. 6 weeks

Reed is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a valued client for a Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team based in Lancaster. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity to support the business during a busy period, working within a friendly and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing a high volume of purchase invoices
  • Matching, batching, coding and posting invoices onto Sage
  • Ensuring invoices are authorised correctly
  • Resolving supplier queries efficiently
  • Processing expenses, petty cash and credit card transactions
  • Supporting with cashing up and preparing takings for banking

About You

  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger role is essential
  • Confident using Sage
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • A proactive and reliable team player

  • Fully office-based role in Lancaster
