Lawyer - Insolvency & Dispute Resolution

A trusted and respected law firm with a strong presence across Devon, are seeking a Lawyer to join our dynamic Insolvency and Dispute Resolution team. This role offers the opportunity to work on intellectually demanding matters, providing direct client exposure and the chance to develop as a well-rounded commercial lawyer within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Day-to-Day of the Role

  • Undertake fee-earning work across a broad spectrum of debt recovery, insolvency, commercial/civil, and dispute resolution matters.
  • Manage your own caseload effectively, contributing to the overall profitability of the team and the wider firm.
  • Work closely with the department's Partners and Leadership team, using a high degree of self-management and initiative.
  • Deliver outstanding client service, always seeking to protect your clients' interests.
  • Engage in varied, challenging legal matters that require genuine responsibility and direct client interaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Junior lawyer with a keen interest in dispute resolution and insolvency-related work.
  • Ambition to develop across a range of commercial and property litigation matters.
  • Commercial awareness and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle complex issues with a practical, solution-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organised, responsive, and committed to producing high-quality work.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment and is open to feedback.
  • Motivated to grow with the role and contribute positively to the team.
