Witham - Temporary to Permanent

£14.13 per hour - increasing with progression.

Starting on a temporary-to-permanent basis, this role focuses on hands-on production and machine work within a busy manufacturing environment. You'll initially support day-to-day production operations and, over time, develop into a skilled machine operative with multiple competencies.

Own transport is essential due to the site location and shift times, which are not accessible by public transport.

The Role

• Operating and monitoring production machinery (full training provided)
• Supporting production lines to ensure smooth, efficient output
• Handling materials within the production process
• Carrying out quality checks and following production procedures
• Maintaining high health & safety and hygiene standards
• Working collaboratively as part of a close-knit production team

Training & Progression

This is a role with genuine development, not just short-term work.

Over 6-12 months, you will:

• Receive structured training on production machinery and machine operation
• Progress into a multi-skilled machine operative role
• Gain increased responsibility as your technical skills develop
• Be trained to operate a counterbalance forklift as part of long-term progression
• Benefit from pay progression as skills and responsibilities increase

Shift Pattern (flexibility required)

• Week 1: Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm
• Week 2: Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm

What We're Looking For

• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Genuine interest in production and machine operation
• Good attention to detail and safety awareness
• Reliability, consistency, and a positive team attitude
• Own car and full driving licence required due to location and shift work.
• Previous production, manufacturing, forklift or machine experience is beneficial but not essential
