Job Title: Commercial Claims Handler

Salary: £36,000 to £41,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits / Hybrid Working

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Claims Handler to join the dynamic team of a leading independent insurance broker. This role offers the opportunity to manage a portfolio of complex commercial insurance claims, providing expert guidance and ensuring outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle and manage a variety of commercial insurance claims from inception to settlement, including Property, Motor, Liabilities and PI
• Provide expert advice and support to clients and colleagues regarding claim matters
• Investigate and assess claims to determine liability and potential settlement
• Liaise with insurers, legal representatives, and other relevant parties to facilitate efficient claims resolution
• Mentor and support claims colleagues, contributing to the team’s development
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience in commercial claims handling within an insurance brokerage
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and claims processes
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex claims efficiently
• Professional qualifications (e.g., Cert CII) preferred but not essential

What's on offer:

£36,000 to £ days holiday (plus birthday and a wellbeing day so works out to be 29 days), pension with a max employer contribution of 9%, an annual bonus of 5% of salary, support for CII qualifications, wellbeing support, company shares scheme, private medical, life assurance at 4 times salary, hybrid working with 3 days in and 2 from home once settled and free on-site parking
