We are seeking an experienced histopathology CORU Registered Medical Scientist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialised histology procedures including specimen processing, embedding, microtomy, staining (H&E, special stains), and immunohistochemistry
• Ensure quality control and assurance procedures are followed in line with laboratory standards
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• Participate in method validation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and adhere to data protection standards
• Work collaboratively with pathologists and multidisciplinary teams
• Comply with health & safety regulations and laboratory policies

Essential Requirements:

• BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science or equivalent qualification
• Current registration with CORU as a Medical Scientist
• Proven experience working in a histology laboratory
• Strong technical knowledge of histological techniques and laboratory instrumentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
