HR Admin (Temp)
Location: Central London, Hybrid
Contract: Temporary | Part-time (14–21 hours per week, 2–3 days)
Salary: £18,000 (£30,000 pro rata) | £16.48 per hour
The Opportunity
An established organisation is seeking an experienced HR Administrator to join its People & Culture team on a temporary, part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented HR professional to provide hands-on administrative support across HR systems, recruitment, onboarding and general people processes within a busy and collaborative environment.
The Role
Reporting to senior HR colleagues, you will provide comprehensive HR administrative support, ensuring people systems, records and processes are accurate, compliant and up to date. The role is well suited to someone confident working autonomously on defined tasks, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Key responsibilities include:
• Maintaining and updating employee records within the HR system (PeopleHR), including starters, leavers and contractual changes
• Uploading and maintaining employee information across integral systems, including learning platforms, intranet and internal calendars
• Ensuring HR processes are completed in a timely manner, issuing reminders to staff and managers as required
• Supporting recruitment processes, including coordinating interviews and preparing documentation
• Monitoring recruitment inboxes and responding appropriately
• Maintaining recruitment systems (Be Applied), ensuring an organised process and positive candidate experience
• Supporting job advertising and reviewing recruitment campaign effectiveness
• Assisting with onboarding and induction processes for new starters
• Processing and monitoring background checks, including right-to-work, references and DBS
• Supporting policy development through research and drafting basic policy documents
• Maintaining the annual leave system, calculating entitlements and ensuring policy compliance
• Assisting with invoice processing and payment tracking
• Supporting administration of employee benefits and related tax processes
• Creating and updating HR templates to standardise people and payroll processes
• Supporting the wider People & Culture team with additional administrative tasks as required
Essential:
• Previous experience in an HR administration role
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Knowledge of HR systems and people processes
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Ability to work autonomously and manage deadlines
• Practical, logical approach with strong problem-solving skills
• Professional approach to confidentiality and data protection
Desirable:
• Familiarity with PeopleHR
• Experience using intranet platforms such as WordPress
• CIPD qualification or part-qualification
