Administrative Officer – Complaints & Members’ Enquiries

  • Location - Welwyn Garden City
  • Temporary position for 12 + weeks

We are seeking an organised and customer-focused Administrative Officer to support the Complaints and Members’ enquiries team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Logging, acknowledging and tracking Stage 1 complaints in line with council procedures
  • Coordinating timely responses with service areas and monitoring deadlines
  • Managing and responding to enquiries from Councillors and MPs
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting performance reporting
  • Providing general administrative support to the team

About you:

  • Strong administrative and customer service experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple cases and work to deadlines
  • Confident using IT systems and handling sensitive information
  • Experience in a local authority or complaints environment is desirable

This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and a professional, empathetic approach to customer service.
