Senior Data Governance Analyst – Dublin

Atrium EMEA is looking for an adept Senior Data Governance Analyst to working in the data governance team, based in Dublin. The Data Analyst is a hands-on driver responsible for translating governance strategy into operational execution across the data domains. This role bridges business needs and technology delivery, shaping and operationalizing governance rules, controls, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will identify gaps through structured analysis, create measurable governance insights, and lead continuous improvements through clear documentation, stakeholder alignment, and pragmatic solutions. You will define the rules, document and design the workflows, and drive adoption across cross-functional teams.

Essential:

• Extensive experience in data analysis, data governance, data quality, business analysis, or related roles.
• Proven experience creating SOPs, process documentation, workflow design, and governance artifacts.
• Strong working knowledge of data concepts: data lineage, metadata, data quality, business definitions, controls.
• Ability to partner with technical teams (data engineering, platform teams) and communicate requirements clearly.
• Strong stakeholder engagement experience across business and technology teams.
• Experience working in regulated environments
• Familiarity with governance tooling (e.g., catalog/glossary/lineage tools) and issue management workflows.
• Experience with KPI frameworks and operational reporting for governance programs.
• Understanding of “Source of Truth (SOT)” concepts and data product operating models.
• Documentation/process: PowerPoint, Word, Visio/Lucidchart, Confluence/SharePoint, Excel
• Tracking: Jira/Azure DevOps (or equivalent)
• Analytics: SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI (or similar)
• Governance concepts: glossary/catalog/lineage mindset, control frameworks, certification approaches
