We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering business seeking a motivated and commercially minded Sales Engineer to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an engineering background who is looking to develop a career in sales, account management, and customer relationship development within the engineering and manufacturing sector.


The Role

Working closely with both existing customers and new business opportunities, you will play a key role in developing client relationships, identifying commercial opportunities, and supporting customers with engineering-related solutions.

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining remote working with time spent at the company’s office in Hemel Hempstead.


Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and developing relationships with existing customers
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Supporting clients with product and technical enquiries
  • Working closely with internal engineering and commercial teams
  • Building long-term customer partnerships
  • Providing excellent customer service and account support


About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • Exposure to the engineering or manufacturing sector through:
  • Mechanical Engineering qualifications or degree, or
  • Previous experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or aftermarket environment
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach
  • Previous sales, account management, or customer service experience would be beneficial
  • Alternatively, a strong interest in moving into a customer-facing sales role from an engineering background
