Our client, a well-established and family run manufacturing business is looking to appoint a detail-oriented Quality Inspector. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet defined quality standards by conducting thorough inspections throughout the production process. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving existing processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections on in-process components and finished goods (last-off inspection) to verify conformance to specifications, drawings, and quality standards
  • Identify, document, and report defects, non-conformances, and deviations in a timely manner
  • Support production teams by ensuring adherence to established quality procedures and work instructions
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, including inspection reports and quality documentation
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues
  • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards at all times
  • Participate in audits and contribute to maintaining quality certifications where applicable

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in visual inspection, including both in-process and final (last-off) inspection
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
  • High attention to detail with a methodical and structured approach to work
  • Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques (e.g., calipers, gauges, measurement equipment)
  • Good documentation and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
