SEN Teacher - SEMH

Academics are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Canterbury, supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The school provides a highly supportive and therapeutic setting for pupils who may have experienced trauma, anxiety, behavioural challenges, or difficulties accessing mainstream education. The Role: SEN Teacher

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
• Support pupils with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, and additional learning difficulties
• Create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and pastoral teams
• Encourage emotional regulation, confidence, and academic progress

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience working within SEN, SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision settings is desirable
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
• Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people
